THE TEA HOUSE is our own family home in the hills. With a vantage location, right on the Bhimtal Lake, it is our get-away from the humdrum of the city. We were one of the early birds from Delhi to build in Bhimtal in 2002.
Our East-facing house has a sitting terrace, right overlooking the lake, a small vegetable garden and a wooden-furniture workshop. The interiors are rustic and minimalist, using skills of local carpenters and masons. Enjoying the very simple pleasures of life here, is indeed a great luxury.

The Tea House is a place to recline, ruminate and be one with your primordial past. In Japan in fact, Tea houses do not merely serve tea but have a larger connotation. They are considered abodes for tranquil and peaceful being, a get away from the humdrum of the city.

THE LIGHT HOUSE perches on a hill facing Bhimtal lake. The top floor houses the living room, kitchen and dining, along with a wood stove. Lower floors of the house are two bedrooms. It is an unusual house built in stone. It has vantage views akin to a light house. No ships to beckon here, albeit the lake is an enchantress in its own right.
